I’m Scott Stuart – an award-winning, bestselling children’s author whose books have been translated into over a dozen languages, reached bestseller lists around the world, and found their way into homes across more than 50 countries.
I created the Kingdom of Kindness because I believe the gap isn’t in kids knowing that they should be kind – it’s in kids having the courage and the habit to actually do something about it. That’s what the Kingdom of Kindness is designed to create – the habit of unprompted kindness.
Every single piece in your monthly package is written and illustrated by me, not a content team. This is my work, made with the same care I put into my books.
Is this right for my child’s age?
The Kingdom of Kindness is designed for kids aged 4–8, but we have plenty of subscribers with older kids.
What if my child isn’t a big reader yet?
That’s totally fine – in fact, most of the magic happens out loud. The comics are meant to be read together, the poem is designed to be read to your child at bedtime, and the conversation starters are just that – conversation. Nothing here requires your child to sit down and read solo, unless they’re already a great reader and that’s how you would prefer to approach it.
Who makes all of this?
Everything – every word and every illustration – is written and drawn by me, Scott Stuart, a bestselling children’s author. This isn’t content farmed out to a team. It’s one person, making something they genuinely care about, every single month.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, absolutely. There’s no lock-in on the monthly plan. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your customer portal. For the 6-month plan, you’re billed upfront for the 6 months but won’t be auto-renewed without notice.
Can I give this as a gift?
Yes, absolutely! When you select your subscription package, simply add the details of the person you are gifting it to in the “Shipping” details.
What are the monthly themes?
Themes change each month and rotate across topics like: being a bystander vs. an upstander, consent and boundaries, accepting differences, speaking up when it’s hard, and belonging. Each month’s entire package – the newspaper, comics, quests, poem – is built around that single theme so it all reinforces the same idea.
My child already seems kind – is this still for them?
Absolutely – and honestly, this is for those kids especially. There’s a big difference between a child who is kind when it’s easy and one who is kind when it costs them something. The Kingdom of Kindness is specifically designed to build that second kind of courage: the unprompted act, the moment they speak up even when it’s uncomfortable. Kind kids still need practice at the hard stuff.
Each month we gather on Zoom and read a picture book from that month’s booklist together. Free for members and non-members alike.
Each month we will be releasing a new downloadable game, set in the Kingdom of Kindness, and designed to be super fun for the whole family.
